BUSINESS STORIES

This series documents a group of commercial businesses navigating their relationship with Microsoft’s AI tools at a moment of rapid change.

Filmed across different regions and industries, the work centres on people—founders, engineers, and teams—and the environments they operate in. Rather than presenting AI as a finished solution, the films sit with it as something still being understood: questioned, adapted, and shaped by the realities of everyday work.

The commission unfolded quickly, with limited pre-production and evolving editorial parameters. That pace is present in the films themselves. They reflect real constraints, real conversations, and real moments of translation between technical systems and human experience.

For Related, this project represents a meaningful shift toward longer-form, documentary-informed storytelling. An interest in moving beyond aspirational imagery toward work that captures process, uncertainty, and context—and that treats technology not as an abstraction, but as something experienced through people, place, and time.
