MICROSOFT FOUNDRY

AI IN PRACTISE

This series follows a group of businesses navigating their relationship with Microsoft’s AI tools at a moment of rapid change.

Filmed across regions and industries, the work centres on people—founders, engineers, and teams—and the environments they operate in. Rather than presenting AI as a finished solution, the films observe it as something still being worked out: questioned, adapted, and shaped through everyday use.

The commission unfolded quickly, with limited pre-production and evolving editorial parameters. That pace is reflected in the films themselves—grounded in real constraints, real conversations, and the ongoing translation between technical systems and human experience.

For Related, the project marks a shift toward longer-form, documentary-led storytelling. An interest in moving beyond aspiration, toward work that captures process, uncertainty, and context—and that approaches technology not as abstraction, but as something lived through people, place, and time.
